  • "The Costa del Azahar has gained in popularity since the arrival of budget airlines into Valencia airport. Once more or less exclusive to Spanish holidaymakers, the Costa Azahar has recently seen a large increase in visitors from the UK and other parts of Europe. The resorts are quieter than its southern neighbour, the Costa Blanca and have a much more Spanish feel to them. Some of popular resorts on the Costa del Azahar are Peniscola, Alcossebre, Oliva (famous for its large golf resort) and Gandia. The area is known for its orange trees and paddy fields, the rice from this region is used in the Spanish national dish, Paella. The weird volcanic landscape with a craggy coastline and an array of exotic flora and fauna make El Hierro a perfect place for nature lovers or anybody wanting to relax in the island's stunning scenery. El Hierro has an extremely laid back atmosphere and is not the place to go if you're looking for a hectic nightlife or tea like mother makes. If you think El Hierro could be for you, click picture to view properties in all the popular places."

  • "Fuerteventura is the most desert like of the Canary islands, it has a barren windswept landscape which in some parts resembles Morrocco and the sub Sahara which lie just 100kms away.
