Alcudia is probably the most popular family resort on Majorca. The resort has developed around the huge Alcudia bay. There are hundreds of bars and restaurants to choose from and a pretty old town area. You can visit some Roman remains on the outskirts of the old town. The port of Alcudia has daily ferries to Barcelona and Menorca and there are trips to various places on the island. Around the port area which is pedestrianised, there are some excellent restaurants and shops. In Alcudia town there is a twice weekly market which takes place on Sundays and Tuesdays.
