Maspalomas

Maspalomas (literally, "more doves") is  one of Spain's largest holiday resorts. This huge resort can appear a bit overwhelming for the first time visitor but after a while and a bit of exploring, the different aspects of the town start to come into focus.  Basically, Maspalomas is split into three distinct areas, San Augustin which is serene and under stated with an elegant seafront. Playa de Ingles a  purpose built area with some well planned apartments and villas, plenty nightlife with bars and restaurants bustling with holidaymakers (this area has over 30 discos and 300 bars and restaurants)  Lastly, there is the area to the west of Playa de Ingles,  a calming area of protected sand dunes and luxury hotels.

Hotels & Apartments

As would be expected in such a large resort, there is plenty of accommodation available. As well as hotels there are many bungalow complexes which are a popular choice in Gran Canaria.
