The Murcia Region

The region of Murcia is sandwiched between the larger regions of Andalucia to the south and the Valencian Community to the north.  The coastal strip is called the Costa Calida.  The Murcia region is home to one of the world's largest lagoons the Mar Menor.  The city of Murcia is well worth a visit, there are lots of impressive buildings, parks and plazas.  The main resort in the region is the large La Manga Club which boasts over 25 restaurants, golf and tennis courses, villas with private pools and a 5 star hotel.
