Sa Coma is a purpose built holiday resort on the east coast of Mallorca.  It is geared up to serve tourists from around Europe but specialises in visitors from the UK.  There are plenty bars and restaurants, many British owned.  The resort was insignificant until the early eighties when expansion started to accommodate the growing number of tourists visiting the island.   Sa Coma is connected to its neighbour S'Illot by a long promenade.  You can hire four wheel bikes and cycle down the promanade or just go for an evening stroll.  The beachfront is home to a lot of bars and restaurants which cater for most tastes.  Sa Coma is still a relatively quiet resort and is more suited to families who want to relax.

Car hire is cheap and if you can pluck up the courage to give it a try for a day, you won't be disappointed.
