San Antonio

San Antonio is the clubbing capital of Europe.  When I visited San Antonio in 1972 it was livelier than other parts of the island and I remember the bars competing with each other for the loudest music.  There was no indication at the time that it would become a magnet for clubbers from all over Europe.  DJ's can earn a fortune and many have built up a following similar to that of rock stars.  What the local population think about what has happened to their once small town can only be imagined but its apparent that some locals have made a great deal of money from the developments
