The Costas

Costa Azahar



The Costa Azahar has long been a popular destination for Spanish holidaymakers.  The introduction of budget flights into Valencia aiport has opened up the area to tourists from outside Spain.

 

Costa Blanca



The Costa Blanca is one of Spain's favourite holiday destinations and includes the  resorts  of Benidorm, Calpe,  Altea,  Denia and Javea

 


Costa del Sol

 

 


The Costa del Sol in  Andalucia  is home to some of Spain's most upmarket destinations including Marbella , Puerto Banus and Sotogrande

 


Costa Brava & Costa Dorada



The Costa Brava & Costa Dorada were amongst the first places in Spain to introduce mass tourism. The most popular resorts are Lloret de Mar, Salou and Tossa del Mar.

 


The Balearic Islands

Formentera



Formentera is the smallest of the Balearic Islands.  The crystal clear water and laid back atmosphere make it the ideal place to relax.  Formentera has no airport and is only accessible by ferry from Ibiza.

 


Ibiza



Ibiza is  one of the most popular  holiday destinations on the Med.  San Antonio is renowned for its club scene and Ibiza town is a great place for people watching.  Not all the resorts are lively

 


Majorca



Majorca is the uk's most popular Mediterranean holiday destination.  Majorca caters for the majority of people with family resorts, lively and laid back resorts.

Menorca



Menorca is well known as a family orientated  destination. Popular resorts include Binibeca, Cala d'Or  and Cala'n Porter.  Menorca has its own airport and is easy to get to from the UK

The Canary Islands

Fuerteventura



The second largest of the Canary Islands, Fuereventura is the least populated.  Tourism is the major source of income for the island and  new resorts have been developed.

Gran Canaria



Gran Canaria is the most popular of all the Canary Islands with over 1.5 million visitors a year.  The main resorts are Maspalomas and Playa del Ingles.

Lanzarote



Lanzarote is the easternmost island in the Canaries.  It has a barren treeless landscape with  extremely low average rainfall.  The main resorts are Playa Blanca & Puerto del Carmen

Tenerife



Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands.  It has two distinct climates, the south is dry and arrid and the north is almost tropical.

The Small Islands



There are three smaller islands in the Canaries which have a limited number of resorts.  We have provided information on these islands including hotels & apartments.

Northern Spain



Up until recently resorts on the north coast of Spain were more or less exclusively used by Spanish holidaymakers.   Today, people from outside Spain are starting to discover how much it has to offer
