Locate Levante, Poniente and the old town
Benidorm's historic centre occupies a promontory, with the major beaches of Levante and Poniente providing different coastal reference points. The destination covers enough ground that two apartments sharing the Benidorm label can support quite different daily movements. Pin your preferred beach access and the entrance to each property.
The useful question is where you want to begin most mornings. A group planning repeated beach visits may favour proximity to one stretch of sand. A party expecting to explore different parts of town might value an address that connects its planned outings without making every return a lengthy walk.
Compare the last hundred metres
Check the approach from the promenade to the building, including crossings, gradients and the correct entrance. A large complex may have several gates, and the closest-looking gate may not be available for guest use. Ask which entrance is actually used and whether it has opening restrictions.
Inside, establish lift arrangements and the floor. If the property is in a high-rise building, ask whether the lift reaches the apartment level and whether there are steps at the entrance. This matters with pushchairs and luggage even when the surrounding streets appear straightforward.
Read the sleeping plan carefully
Apartments advertised for a large number of guests may use sofa beds extensively. Work out what happens to the living area at night and whether anyone must cross it to use the bathroom. Check cooling in the sleeping spaces, not just the main room.
The immediate street matters more than a general claim about the whole beach area. Ask about bedroom orientation and nearby premises. Neither a resort-wide reputation nor a distant view tells you whether the particular flat suits an early bedtime.
Let the address serve one routine well
Compare ordinary errands alongside leisure: food shopping, buying breakfast and returning with wet towels. If one property makes those tasks easier, it may be worth more than another with extra communal facilities you rarely use. You can visit the other beach area as an outing; your accommodation need not be equally close to every Benidorm attraction.
