Spend time in the public waterfront area and surrounding streets, respecting working sections and any access boundaries. If you wish to enter, confirm current visitor arrangements rather than assuming a stop is possible whenever you pass.
Keep this part of the outing light on equipment. If the next stage involves a beach visit, decide whether carrying towels from the beginning is sensible or whether returning to the apartment first would simplify the day. The best answer depends on your actual base.
Give Arenal its own pause
At Arenal, allow enough time to enjoy the beach setting without immediately preparing for the next transfer. Check local notices and conditions before entering the water. Guests who prefer not to swim can agree a meeting point and share a meal or walk afterwards.
