Give the holiday a main purpose
Salou's coastal setting includes broad beaches, smaller coves and the promenade associated with Llevant beach. PortAventura is another major attraction in the area. These different activities create different accommodation priorities, so write down how many days you expect to spend on each before choosing a location.
A theme-park visit on one day should not necessarily determine where you spend an entire beach week. Equally, a trip built around several attraction visits deserves a proper check of those journeys. Distinguish the occasional outing from the route you will repeat most mornings.
Verify access to your beach
Find the exact public access point for the beach shown in the listing. A route to a cove can differ from one leading to the main promenade, and proximity on a map does not describe steps or gradients. Ask about the approach if a pushchair or mobility requirement makes those details important.
If you plan a coastal walk, check the relevant section and current information independently. A holiday apartment near a coastal path does not establish that the whole route suits every walker. Keep longer walks separate from the ordinary route used while carrying beach equipment.
Look at the evening return
Plan how you will reach the apartment after an outing that ends later than expected. Verify transport rather than assuming that the daytime option continues unchanged into the evening. For a group, discuss whether you will always return together and how keys will be shared if not.
Inside, check where everyone sleeps and whether the shared room remains usable when beds are opened. Ask about cooling, curtains and the position of bedrooms relative to neighbouring premises. Resort-wide descriptions cannot tell you how a particular room performs at bedtime.
Prioritise the facilities you need daily
A useful fridge, a proper table and drying space can make repeated beach days easy. Confirm pool availability for your dates if it is central to the booking. Choose the apartment that serves most days well and arrange exceptional outings deliberately. A clear everyday routine is more valuable than an impressive amenities list with little connection to how you intend to spend the trip.
