Establish which pool is included
Ask whether the photographed pool belongs to the building, a wider complex or a separate facility. Confirm that access is included with the apartment booking and whether any pass, key or additional payment is required. A pool shown in the surrounding-area photographs may not be part of the accommodation at all.
Check the route from the apartment to the pool. A short distance on a map can still involve several staircases, a road crossing or a long walk through the complex. Consider how often your group will want to return for food, toilets or forgotten items.
Verify dates and operating arrangements
Ask whether the pool is expected to be open during your stay and whether there are any known maintenance closures. Opening periods and hours are specific to the facility; they should not be inferred from the weather or a photograph taken in another season.
Confirm any rules about guests, inflatables, food, towels or sun loungers that matter to your plans. If there is a separate children's pool, ask about its actual arrangement rather than interpreting a shallow-looking section of a photograph as suitable for a particular child.
Keep supervision and convenience separate
A convenient view of the pool from a balcony does not replace appropriate supervision at poolside. Ask the accommodation provider for the pool's safety information and whether lifeguarding is provided, but do not assume staff presence from the size of the complex.
Check whether access barriers or gates are part of the route relevant to your family. These questions help you understand the setting; they do not certify it as safe or remove the need to supervise children according to their needs.
Decide how central the pool is to the trip
If pool time is the main purpose of the holiday, unresolved access or seasonal questions deserve attention before booking. If it is only an occasional extra, you may place more weight on bedrooms, food shopping and the location of the apartment itself.
Keep the provider's answers with the confirmation. On arrival, read the displayed rules and check how access works before planning the first swim. The useful comparison is between facilities you can actually use on your dates, not simply between listings with and without a pool icon.
